Age: 24

Currently pursuing a Master of Laws degree in Belgium, Kiara Arends is an active supporter of social justice. She speaks four languages and has traveled to 20 countries. During the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic, she founded an organization called “BUMP” dedicated to equipping young mothers with sustainable resources.

A proud woman in STEM, Ashley Lightburn is a mathematician. She is a mathematics lecturer at the University of Belize while working a full-time job at a bank. She advocates for the improvement of mathematics literacy among women and children.  


Lia Claxton

Age: 18

Third of four children, Lia Claxton is a music and dance lover. She often plays piano at the local church. She is also a member of the track club. She is currently pursuing an English degree and aspires to become a lawyer.


Chloe Powery-Doxey

Age: 25

Passionate about sports and arts, Chloe Powery-Doxey has played with the Women of Valor Basketball Club and the Cayman Islands National Team. She advocates for community education about emotional health and familial dysfunction. She also works closely with the Cayman Islands National Trust to preserve the history and biodiversity of the Cayman Islands.

A certified life coach, Gabriëla Dos Santos aims to become a motivational speaker and seeks to be the voice of her generation. She speaks four languages and travel to 10 countries. Founder of “Light4change”, an organization aiming to enable young people to find purpose in adversity, Dos Santos has a real passion for social causes. 


Andreína Martínez

Age: 25

Passionate about the preservation of female rights, Andreína Martínez advocates for public policy that advances women. She works at The Women’s Equality Center, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the rights of women in Latin America and the Caribbean. Her ultimate goal is to become the first female ambassador of the Dominican Republic to the United Nations.

Sheris Paul is another Caribbean delegate proud woman in STEM. She is a tech entrepreneur pursuing a degree in computer information systems. Her motto is empowering women and girls through STEM. She works with several NGOs and develops apps for advocating her causes. 


Angel J. Cartwright

Age: 28

Holder of a Dual Master of Science in Finance and an International MBA from Florida International University, Angel J. Cartwright is a private banker, first-time author, and climate enthusiast. Through her platform “There is no planet B”, she promotes conservation, prevents climate change, and advocates to increase the number of youth dedicated to conserving the natural resources of the planet. 


Tya Jané Ramey

Working as an executive administrative coordinator for the Caribbean Regional Youth Council while earning a Master’s degree in Social Work, Tya Jané Ramey dedicates her life to being an agent of change. She is a former national volleyball athlete and has a passion for sports, travel, culture, and youth.
